TOWN OF WEST YELLOWSTONE
Winter is over at last. The busy summer season for the town of West Yellowstone is just around the corner. It is amazing, when the snow melts, the amount of trash that has been buried under that snow all winter long.
About this time every year the town has a cleanup day. This year the date is Saturday, May 18. Anyone and everyone who wants to help clean up the town will meet at the city park at 9 AM. They will be furnished with bags gloves and garbage disposal will be provided.
There will be a 30 foot dumpster provided at the city park on Dunraven. This dumpster is for free disposal of residential debris. You may not take appliances or large furniture, business or commercial debris to this dumpster. The dumpster will be locked until 9 AM the morning of the cleanup. The town will also provide free transport and disposal of any compostable materials (tree branches, pine needles, wood waste, leaves, etc.)
Take heart – free coffee and muffins will also be available. Now, you are ready to go to work.
All community cleanup participants are invited to a free community barbecue in the city park from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM. There will be lots of free food and prizes too.
