NEW BEARS AT GRIZZLY AND WOLF DISCOVERY CENTER

ROOSEVELT AND GRANT

Meet Roosevelt and Grant - the newest residents at the Grizzly and Wolf Discovery Center in West Yellowstone, Montana.

On September 30, 2011 the Discovery Center welcomed Roosevelt and Grant as their newest residents. Unfortunately, their mother had to be euthanized after confirmation was received from the Yellowstone Park biologist that she was connected with two human fatalities in the summer of 2011.

Grant is the smaller of the brothers and, according to the animal keepers at the Discovery Center, he is "a real firecracker".  Grant likes to climb things and he is very outgoing.

Roosevelt is the heavier of the two cubs weighing in at about 10 pounds more than his brother. According to the keepers he is more shy and reserved than his brother.

They have recently been introduced to the other bears  including Coram and Sow 101.

Check out the Discovery Center and find out when these brothers are going to be in the habitat for viewing.  Your admission to the center is good for two days.
